According to Tyler Barnes, the VP of Communications for the Milwaukee Brewers, the Twins have agreed to send outfielder Carlos Gomez to Milwaukee for JJ Hardy.

It looks like a straight swap to me. What do you think of this trade?

I am expecting a .250-.270 ave 15 to 25 hr and above ave defense for the SS position. One IF, SP and bench and filler to go. and of course Mauer extention.
I like it!

This will be a fantastic trade for the Twins if Hardy can return to his All-Star form of 2007 or at least approach it. I think a Mauer extension and a consistent 3b (Beltre? DeRosa?) would be fantastic. If they can keep their pitching in tact like the end of the season, add a healthy Slowey (Neshek?) and maybe a good free agent SP if they don't re-sign Pavano they should be in business.
